Sankalpa Week: Dots and Circlular Symbols
Each day this week, I’ll be posting about a few symbols I incorporated into henna designs and my sankalpa (intention/purpose) behind them. This is a shot of a simple hand design incorporating vines/creepers circles and bijani (seeds). The dots/seeds have been associated with fertility, but also with new life and growth. The circles are sometimes associated with the sun and in this case, I used them–along with leaves–to convey warmth, nourishment and growth.
